- Shane Martin can listen to the people and move forward without having to call a Law Firm or special interest group to make sure he isn't "stepping on any toes"!
Issues
- Shane Martin believes that state and local law enforcement should aid federal authorities whenever possible in the removal of illegal aliens from South Carolina. Legal citizen status should be required for all state benefits and he is solidly opposed to putting a driver's license in the hand of an illegal alien! He also supports E-Verify and has challenged the current Senator to support H3032. If Shane introduces any legislation on illegal immigration, you can believe that he will not weaken his bill in the end to cater to special interest money (see current Senator)!
- Shane Martin feels that wasteful government spending needs to be eliminated. Spending a $1.5 billion surplus, growing our state budget by 40% over the last three years, and pork barrel spending are issues that need to be immediately addressed.
- Shane Martin is an engineer / small business owner and feels, with his background and expertise, that he is better suited to represent our state with industry and economic development. A business owner generates income and jobs - most attorneys just get paid regardless of outcomes!
- Shane Martin believes 100% in our right to keep and bear arms! He will protect our 2nd amendment and uphold the rest of our constitution as well!
